ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Work-at-home jobs may raise the risk of mental health concerns as they blur the boundaries between one's job and personal responsibility. This study aimed to develop and test the feasibility of an online psychological intervention using the WhatsApp (c) messaging application.MATERIALS AND METHOD: During the 14-day intervention period, two messages were sent twice a day consisting of positive psychological affirmation aimed at assisting participants (N= 48;13 males and 35 females) to achieve work-life balance and better sleep quality. The Indonesian-adapted Fisher's work-life balance scale and the sleep disturbance scale were used to measure both constructs. These measures were administered at the beginning and end of the intervention. In addition, we provided participants with brief open-ended questions to check the program's feasibility and acceptance of the intervention.RESULTS: A paired t-test analysis revealed that although there was an increase in work-life balance scores in the post-test com pared to the pre-test, the difference was not significant (t (47) =-1.75, p >.05). Nevertheless, individuals' sleep quality scores improved significantly after the intervention (t (47) = - 2.85, p <.05). DISCUSSION: The findings of this study are expected to provi de a preliminary argument to further pursue the development of behavioral interventions using online strategies in Indonesia during the pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on various sectors. One of the efforts to prevent the spread of the virus on a large scale is the Covid-19 vaccine. This study aimed to investigate people's knowledge and perception of acceptance regarding Covid-19 vaccines. Quantitative data were collected using an online survey (n = 299) with accidental sampling. This survey was conducted from March-May 2021 and distributed through social media. Data were collected using questionnaires. The result shows that almost all respondents (93.3%) accept the Covid-19 vaccine with good knowledge (63.2%), sufficient knowledge (6.7%), and a lack of knowledge (13.4%). The OR value (3.78, p = 0.026) means people with good knowledge will receive three times more vaccines than people with less knowledge. Perception of knowledge about the Covid-19 vaccination program led to 13.7 times of acceptance Covid-19 vaccine compared to those who did not know this program (OR 13.7, p=0.01). Knowledge and perception about the Covid-19 vaccine will affect accepting the Covid-19 vaccine. This study recommended This study is expected to be a reference or literature review for determining government policies to implement the Covid-19 Vaccine program in the community. ABSTRACT

In early March, Indonesia had reported the first two cases of COVID-19 and this was the beginning for the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia. The need for health services is increasing along with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. DKI Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia and is a city with a dense population, causing the transmission of the COVID-19 to be faster than other areas. An assessment of the capacity of health facilities which includes infrastructure and resources is very important to determine the ability of health facilities to manage the rate of spread of COVID-19. This study aims to evaluate the capability of health facilities using the COVID-19 referral hospital readiness index in DKI Jakarta. The data used is the availability of human resources and infrastructure for COVID-19 referral hospitals. Analysis of Geographic Information Systems and Multi-criteria was used to map the readiness index of COVID-19 referral hospitals. The results show that there are no referral hospitals with a high readiness index. There are only 10 referral hospitals with a medium and 92 referral hospitals with a low readiness index. The lack of referral hospitals with a medium readiness index in areas of high vulnerability can have serious consequences in handling COVID-19 cases. Most of the referral hospitals have a low readiness index. However, referral hospitals are capable to reach almost all areas of DKI Jakarta in an emergency condition. It can be concluded that most of the referral hospitals do not have adequate facilities for handling COVID-19 patients.

ABSTRACT

Background and Objectives: In 2020 the whole world is experiencing a pandemic condition due to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus which can cause the COVID-19 disease. This condition results in “Panic Buying”, because everyone tries to avoid the spread and transmission of the COVID-19 disease by doing various ways, one of which is by taking additional supplements such as vitamin C and probiotic supplements. Materials and Methods: The materials used were mice Mus musculus male DDY strain aged 1-2 months. Probiotic supplement Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14 with a viability of 1 × 108 CFU/ml. with a weight of 0.16 grams dissolved in 0.25 ml 0.9% NaCl. Vitamin C used is a commercial vitamin C tablet, weighing 0.06 grams in 0.25 ml 0.9% NaCl. Meanwhile, the feed for mice (Mus musculus) is a complete feed from Pokphand with the code BR1 CP511B. Lung histology preparations data were analysed descriptively and statistically through the test Chi square while the data on the number of lymphocytes were analysed descriptively. Results: The histological observations of lungs of Mus musculus showed that in the treatment of ML, MV, and MKA test was carried out chi square ratio between the groups that did not have lymphocyte infiltration and those that had lymphocyte infiltration showed a significant difference (p <0.05). Meanwhile, the results of the lymphocyte count showed that ML and MV treatment was higher than that of MK treatment. Conclusion: It is suggested that the administration of probiotics can stimulate and modulate the respiratory immune system.

ABSTRACT

In this article, we investigate the impact of COVID-19 through screening and surveillance methods adopted in India, as well as the potential health system, social, political, and economic consequences. The research was done in a chronological manner, and data was collected between 30 January 2020 till 12 June 2020. Initial containment measures, including point of entry screenings and testing protocols, appeared insufficient. However, testing capacity was gradually expanded after the commencement of a nation-wide lockdown. Modeling predictions have shown varying results on the emergence of cases depending on the infectiousness of asymptomatic individuals, with a peak predicted in mid-July having over two million cases. The country also faces risks of the economic plunge by losing approximately 4% of its gross domestic product, due to containment measures and reduction in goods importation. The low public health expenditure combined with a lack of infrastructure and low fiscal response implies several challenges to scale up the COVID-19 response and management. Therefore, an emergency preparedness and response plan is essential to integrate into the health system of India.
